Gunther Wegner, the developer of legendary timelapse software LRTimelapse, has announced the updated version of the LRTimelapse Pro Timer. Here's what's new at a glance:

  • Full-surface glass pane: The entire top is now protected by an elegant real glass pane. This not only enhances the device visually but also offers a decisive practical advantage: the timer is significantly more resistant to splashes and light drizzle rain.
  • High-quality injection-molded housing: Instead of 3D printing, version 3.5 comes in a stable and sleek injection-molded housing. This ensures improved haptics and a level of durability that withstands rough handling in a photo backpack.
  • Modern charging via USB-C to USB-C: The charging electronics have been completely redesigned. The LRTimelapse PRO Timer 3.5 now supports true USB-C charging. This means the integrated battery can be easily charged with modern USB-C-to-USB-C cables using power banks or power adapters—a detail that many users of modern camera systems will appreciate.

Hello, it's been a minute! I hope your December is off to a better start than mine. While travelling in Mauritius in November, I developed a hectic ear infection and I have temporarily lost half my hearing. Doctors say it will come back, but it will take a while, and I've had to cancel my trip to Australia for Christmas. Luckily, I'll be able to spend time with my family in Belgium now :) (Despite the painful medical ordeal, we still had an absolutely wonderful time on this paradise island)...
